I reinstalled the game recently and now I can't save a new character. I played this game a long time ago without any problem.
After all of this I decided to go to the steam library, Bordlands 2 properties, and unchecked "Enable Steam Cloud synchronization for Bordlands 2" (under Updates tab) and this doesn't work either. I went to security and made sure that all of the users had all of the boxes set to "allow" as well. I tried unchecking the read-only attribute for each folder from my games to the steamID folder but everytime I check on the properties after applying this the read-only box is filled in black again. I upgraded from windows 7 to 10 recently.
I am having the same problem but this solution doesn't seem to be working for me.
